From Buddhism to the Matrix movies, illusion
seems to be a convenient explanation for life's
short-comings.
Nevertheless, just as education may begin with
insult or a conviction of inadequacy, the awareness
of illusion begins with feeling foolish, but ultimately
and paradoxically reinforces the reality of the
individual via authenticity. To see through some
illusions is necessarily to be real
by one degree.
