CONSCIOUS ABSORPTION
Consciousness is deeper than material reality. It is the motivation,
so far as I can tell, underlying all substance.
In a diagram showing all aspects of logic, I mention consciousness
last, because it is the final variable, adding the final layer of logic.
It is fundamentally miscellaneous, but it has profound value, a value
for growth and potential.
What I would like to underscore myself, however, is the specific
relation of consciousness with absorption.
I don't mean this in the superficial sense
of some philosophers.
I don't mean simply bowing one's head
with thought---that ancient trope.
Instead, what I mean is the attraction of all good things to the act of
consciousness, as if like ants to a damp cube of sugar.
Consciousness, by this analogy is an accretionary process. It
potentially has components.
Perhaps modalities of existence, figures of realization, or parts of
thought.
These are attempts to see the unrealized,
And to move beyond the potential of the mute object,
Into satisfaction, and
philosophy.
